How to deposit and withdraw crypto using the OKEx app
Step-by-step guidance on how to make cryptocurrency deposits and withdrawals directly on the OKEx mobile application
OKEx is one of the planet’s most expansive cryptocurrency ecosystems, offering its users opportunities to trade, earn passive income on investments, access decentralized financial services and much more. Our iOS and Android applications provide a user-friendly portal to our trusted, industry-leading platform.
While you don’t need to already own digital currency to make the most of our diverse features — as you can buy your first crypto assets in the Buy/Sell section — many of our users have holdings they want to bring into the OKEx ecosystem. The following tutorial will explain exactly how to deposit cryptocurrency directly on the OKEx mobile application. Later in this tutorial, we also detail exactly how to withdraw your crypto assets to store in a noncustodial wallet of your choosing.
We’ll assume that you have already downloaded the application from your relevant app store and have registered for an OKEx account. If you haven’t, you can sign up today from your web browser or via the application and receive $10 of cryptocurrency on us.

Depositing cryptocurrency to the OKEx mobile app
Step 1: Log in to your account on the application
First, enter the email address you used to create your OKEx account and the password you set during registration. Then, tap the blue arrow to proceed.
Complete the two-factor authentication check by entering the six-digit code sent to your phone via SMS or authenticator app. Then, set a pattern password to add an extra layer of security. Although you can disable this extra safety feature, we recommend using it for greater peace of mind.
Step 2: Navigate to the deposit section
First, tap Assets on the bottom toolbar.
Then, on the “Overview” section, tap Deposit.
Step 3: Choose which cryptocurrency to deposit
On the “Deposit” screen, search for the cryptocurrency you want to deposit in the field at the top. You can also scroll through the list of assets available. To proceed, tap the relevant asset.
Step 4: Make your deposit
You’ll be presented with a QR code representing your OKEx account address and the same address in its raw form on the next screen.
Copy the deposit address and paste it into the recipient address field of the cryptocurrency wallet from which you want to send your funds. Alternatively, if your wallet has a QR code reader, you can simply scan the QR code provided.
Next, enter the amount of the cryptocurrency you want to deposit in your wallet. Double-check the details entered — it’s very important to confirm that the recipient — i.e., receiving — address entered is identical to the one OKEx provided. Entering the wrong address here will result in loss of funds.
Finally, tap Confirm or similar in your wallet to initiate your deposit. When the cryptocurrency network confirms the transaction, your deposit will appear in your OKEx account.
Withdrawing cryptocurrency from the OKEx mobile app
To log in via the mobile application, complete step one from the deposit tutorial above. Then, follow the instructions below to withdraw your crypto assets.
Step 1: Head to the “Withdraw” section
On the “Overview” page, tap Withdrawal.
If it’s your first time withdrawing using the application, you might be asked to link your phone number or authenticator app and set an additional password. If so, tap Link to begin the process.
Then, follow the onscreen prompts to link your OKEx account to your authenticator app. Complete the email verification and enter the six-digit code shown in the authenticator app. Next, set up your funds password to access the OKEx application’s full feature set.
Step 2: Choose which crypto to withdraw
In the “Withdraw” section, scroll down to or search for the cryptocurrency you want to withdraw. Tap the asset to continue.
Step 3: Enter your withdrawal details
Fill in the details of your withdrawal. You will need to enter the intended receiving address from the wallet to which you want to withdraw and the amount you want to withdraw.
You can usually leave the default withdrawal fee in the “Fees” field. However, if your transaction is particularly urgent, you can consider increasing the fee.
When you have entered your details, double-check the address and tap Submit.
On the following screen, complete the additional security steps by entering the password and codes requested. Finally, tap Confirm to initiate your withdrawal request.
Your funds should appear in the receiving wallet as soon as the relevant blockchain confirms the transaction.
